Financial Technologies India Ltd (FTIL) promoter Jignesh Shah, whose 'fit-and-proper' status to run an exchange has been under regulatory scrutiny following the Rs 5,600-crore payment fraud at NSEL, on Tuesday decided to continue as a director of group firm Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

The Union Finance Ministry on Tuesday said that aggregate business of public sector banks (PSBs) has shown strong growth of 11 per cent in the first half of the financial year 2024-25 (H1FY25) to touch Rs 236 trillion. Online food delivery firm Zomato Ltd on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 176 crore in the second quarter ended on September 30, 2024. The board of the company, which had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 36 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, also approved the raising of Rs 8,500 crore through qualified institutional placement of equity shares, Zomato Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
